
Emergency services dealing with a chemical spill cordoned off parts of an industrial estate in Trafford Park earlier this week.
A Heavy Goods Vehicle was cordoned off to a distance of 50 metres near the Manchester International Freight Terminal, Trafford Park after the 24,000 litre tanker leaked a highly flammable petrol based spirit.

The driver of a second lorry reported the incident to police just before 6pm claiming that the fumes had made him feel unwell.
Absorbent powder was used to mop up the spill and a precautionary ambulance was called.
It took two hours for emergency services to clean up the spill and return the industrial estate to normal business.
