
A two lorry collision on the M67 led to a lorry driver being airlifted to hospital on Friday.
Firefighters cut the driver free from his lorry cab just after the crash which occurred near the motorway’s junction with the A57 at Mottram.

The M67’s westbound lanes were closed to make way for a landing strip for the air ambulance needed to take the driver to hospital.
According to a spokeswoman the man was trapped by his legs. Firefighters and Greater Manchester Police representatives were quick to reach the scene.
