According to a new report, crashes within the Greater Manchester area have more than halved over the past decade.
Over the last decade, crashes per year have dropped by 55 per cent to just 7,587 in the last year.
In line with these statistics the total number of people that were killed or seriously injured last year has also dropped to around 743 – down a third from the same time a decade ago.
This includes 689 people who suffered from serious injuries and 54 people who died on the roads last year.
In addition to these statistics, another 6844 people suffered from slight injuries as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
The road statistics are well in line with the Government’s aim for 2020 – to reduce the number of people seriously injured or killed to 551.
Motor vehicle and road accidents are perhaps one of the most common areas for compensation claims and at Legal Request we deal with claims of this type on a frequent basis. Our team understands how difficult it can be to deal with the recovery after a motor vehicle accident, especially if your accident was severe, and that there is often a great deal of rest and rehabilitation involved in this process.
If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident then making a compensation claim is perhaps the last thing on your mind, but in many situations you may have been left with serious medical conditions and injuries which could leave you seriously out of pocket – in this situation you may consider making a compensation claim.
If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident then working together with industry experts can really help you throughout the claims process. Our team at Legal Request are on hand to help you every step of the way and ensure a successful outcome to your personal injury claim where possible.
